On-Site High Pressure Water Pick Packing Extraction & Installation Services

Modern Sealing offers turn key on-site repack services utilizing high pressure water-pick packing extraction. During short outages and turnarounds MSS can supply highly qualified technicians to remove your old packing, inspect the equipment, and install new LATTYgraf materials. Along with these materials MSS will supply detailed electronic data sheets that provide all the dimensional data as well as suggested calculated torque and friction values.
For critical service applications MSS can provide Valve Packing Monitoring Devices so you can monitor your packing load and adjust before a leak occurs.
MSS also utilizes "High Density" carbon spacers in many applications where stuffing boxes require more than (5) rings of pacing. These spacers not only take up space but also provide an additional bearing surface that aids in aligning the stem and increases packing set life.
MSS Technicians have years of field experience and are Latty factory certified in packing installation. Additionally our technicians complete a detailed inspection of the critical equipment components such as the valve stem, stuffing box, gland, etc to ensure they are undamaged. A pre-outage walk down will be performed to identify and tag all equipment included in the work scope.
